What will you do?
As Junior Product Manager, you will advise the customers (Fnac, Mediamarkt en bol.com, …) in selecting the right products for their shops / online webshops.
Junior Product Managers conduct market research and analysis to understand consumer preferences, market trends and competition.
Assortment planning: As a Junior Product Manager, you will help select and put together the range of products within a certain brand (Acer, HP, Apple, …). More specifically: Which products are best for a B2B partner to purchase as they are in high demand in the market, which products are not doing as well and why, at what prices can they best sell those products? As a Product Manager, you are an indirect extension of the marketing and sales activities of your a brand (Acer, Dell, Apple, …) to customers.
Promotions and marketing: You will work with marketing teams to plan and execute promotional campaigns, sales activities and advertising strategies for products. For example, it’s back-to-school weeks: a Product Manager can check with his/her customer (e.g. Mediamarkt) whether it would be interesting to offer a discount on laptops for students. Because of this marketing campaign, more laptops will be sold so they can sell the laptops at a lower price than normal to make the same profit.
Supplier relations: You will maintain relationships with suppliers and negotiate terms, contracts and agreements.

Where will you work?
Our partner is a distributor of IT and Telecom products and services in the Benelux and France.
The company handles the indirect sales and marketing for major brands and manufacturers in the market. They purchase products, software and consumer goods from major players such as Microsoft, HP, Apple, etc. and distribute that, making it an indirect sales channel. Copaco sells those IT and telecom products to 2,500 resellers. The resellers operate both in the consumer market e.g. Fnac, Mediamarkt and bol.com but also in the corporate market.
